I have a suspicion Chiva is using LimeWire 5 right? The Friends option is something I have not yet tried out. Some more details would greatly help us so we can offer advice or refer someone who 'might' know. LimeWire 4's direct connect option was based on knowing the other person's ip address.

Another way to connect is one of you to create a magnet link & sending the address to the other which they could type into their browser & after entering LW will open & attempt to connect directly to download that file. Then can browse the host. How to use Magnet Links & Direct Connect
