Default Which program to use for Gnutella Network?

I used to have Bearshare but it abruptly stopped a couple of years ago. I wonder which program is the best to use?

If you're happy with BS then try the expired beta version mentioned in the first link. Otherwise, there are other apps to try (all free & all connecting to the Gnutella network).

BearShare

Phex

Morpheus
*And if there are still site problems with the link above then see Clean Updated Morpheus Installers available here!

LimeWire

FrostWire

Which app people think is best depends on whether they like the interface, ease of use, options etc.

Default BS

I am trying to use BS but it tells me to start the prodram with an old date and after 10 seconds to change the date. I'm not sure how

It should do it itself. Just use the instructions here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/host-c...bearshare.html You use the BearStart utility to open the BS program. ie: I just keep the BearStart utility on desktop.

what I do is to leave the BearStart in the BearShare Test directory in My Programs, then right click on it and choose 'pin to start menu' and fire it up via my start bar...
