Hmm that's interesting. Try downlding the "Other (OS/2, Solaris, Linux)" version which is listed at the bottom of downloads. That version is a zip. Just unzip & use. See if you have the same problems trying to open it.

win32 error

I am runing 4.12.3 I ordered limewire pro and downloaded it but when I go to install it I get an error stating it's not a win32 application and won't install it what's up with that? Also when I go to the limewire tech support it comes up with a screen stating what are you trying to do??? and it just sits there it won't let you type anything.

One the support page: You need to select the drop down answers to the questions, then type in your problem, then press Submit. I don't know why you have the problem with the installer. Pro support will probably know. That program I suggested trying, you can downld from your personal pro downld page. It is also pro & is the same thing. It was just a suggestion.

support does not even show me a drop down for the answers it just has that one question sitting there I've looked all over the screen and nothing. Where is the download that you are talking about that has os/2, solaris, linux is it on the internet or is it on the limewire program itself

Can't exit older version of limewire when i'd like to update

Hi,
I would be very glad if someone had a tip for me how to "exit older version of limewire" which appearently is running. I cant update to limewire 4.12... without cancelling the running older version. On the sign that told me this it said it might be running on my system tray and if i wanted to exit i should right-click on the lime-icon and push exit but there is no exit-button when I right-click! Can somebody please help me?

Hold the control key while pressing alt and delete at the same time. When the
Task Manager window opens up you can stop any program that appears in
there. If you don't see it on the first page, try the second one.

Of course, you could probably double-click that icon to open LimeWire up.
Then you could go into the File menu and exit the program. :p

Limewire to Limewire Pro

I recently decided to upgrade from Limewire to Limewire Pro through the pop up window at the start up of Limewire that took me to Limewire.com to where I proceeded to purchase the upgrade. After making the purchase it sent me to a window to download the Pro version for my operating system, "Windows". While running the installer I recieve a NSIS Error saying "The installer you are trying to use is corrupt or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or virus. You may want to contact the author of the installer for a new copy" What do I need to do now?
