"limewire wont open for me"

I downloaded the latest version of lw and everytime i try to open it it doesnt do anything it gives me no error messages or anything i click on it and the hourglass comes up for about 10sec then nothing so basically i cant even see what lime wire is about i cant download anything my system is windows xp please please help me someone out there in limewire world......thanx kim

Are you using some sort of antispyware? Some of these will see LW as a threat & prevent it from opening. If so, make sure that LW is on the list of exceptions/allowed apps

What version did you download. Was it 4.11.1 because if it was that may be the problem. I had the problem you are talking about. I just downloaded the new 4.11.4. Now I have absolutely no problems.

Thanks a lot Angry Pirate. I was also facing with the same problem and ur advice certainly helped.
