I use Kaspersky and I tried turning it off, then installing LW, and actually it worked, cause I didn't get the "splittet" message, but then when I executed limewire, I got the message shown on the picture.

So, even though it got installed, there is something still wrong with it. Help anyone? thank you.

I still can't install limewire 5. Any other suggestions?

Thank you very much. I don't know if this is a windows vista thing, because I used to be able to use it on windows XP fine. But now I have windows Vista and I just can't install it.

How about if you download the 'other' installer (bottom of the list of installers on the download page).
Download, extract/unzip, open the LimeWire folder & then double click on the LimeWire executable jar file.

Do you still see the error?

Hey chaps!

I was having this problem with LW 5 (no install and that splittet file message) so I took your advice here: I deleted the LW preferences folder, installed Java 6, restarted and re-installed Limewire pro version 5 - and it installed perfectly. Thanks for the help, everyone!

I don't use Kaspersky, but if you right click on the Kaspersky icon in your system tray - is there a pause option?

Otherwise, if you Google pause Kaspersky you might find some info.
