I downloaded a bunch of stuff (music, videos, images) and after i slightly altered my shared files configuration settings, my limewire reinstalled itself and everything is gone. can someone tell me what happened? and if there is a way, can you tell me how to fix it?

Do a search from the start menu (Starting at the desktopor above your main directories) for file names you know you should have and find them that way. If that fails it looks like you may have somehow downloaded a virus or something which has infected your machine and is causing these problems. Read as many other forum articles as you can for similar problems and see if anyone else has a similar problem.
Maybe you can get an answer from doing that.
