Uninstalled LW and Error keeps popping up

Okay...I un installed LimeWire but for some reason it keeps trying to come up along with this error message...

LimeWire version 4.16.6
Java version 1.6.0_01 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
Windows Vista v. 6.0 on x86
Free/total memory: 31372320/33357824
com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader$StartupFailed Exception: .\lib\hashes (The system cannot find the file specified)
at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.sanityCheck(G UILoader.java:286)
at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.load(GUILoade r.java:57)
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Nativ e Method)
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknow n Source)
at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Un known Source)
at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main.main(Main.java:44)
STARTUP ERROR!

What does this mean?...And what am I supposed to do?...Its starting to get kind-of annoying...
Thank you...

How did you uninstall LW. If by Add/Remove programs, that may be some of the problem

Might be a Java Issue

Remove All Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Version. (Download the JRE Offline Installer)
Java SE Downloads Fourth one Down.
Hope this helps.

DatBoyBlessed March 12th, 2008 07:05 PM

Yep...I uninstalled it through Add/Remove programs...Reinstalled it...And it still popped up...So I uninstalled again and it still pops up evey few seconds...What can I do?...

Remoc March 12th, 2008 07:34 PM

The Correct way to uninstall LW is with the Uninstaller. Start > All Programs > Limewire > Uninstall.

Try Going to Start > Search > All Files/Folders. Now type in limewire and click Search. When finished, Delete Everything that it finds.

This is for OS XP. Vista should be similar, I hope

DatBoyBlessed March 12th, 2008 07:50 PM

Well...
Even after that...Like 30 seconds later the files are back again...
Makes no sense to me...
And the pop-up is still coming up...
Yay...

Remoc March 12th, 2008 07:59 PM

OK Man, Try This and It should take care of the problem.

DatBoyBlessed March 12th, 2008 10:37 PM

It's probably a virus. Try the fix in this thread: To fix the limewire keeps popping up / no taskmanager bug do the following

AVG(free) might be able to fix it. Be sure to update it before you scan your computer: AVG Free Advisor: AVG Anti-Virus Free, then follow the prompts.
