Select a different folder ?

Hey,

Thanks in advance

Whenever I open limewire I get this message

Quote:

Your save folder is not valid. It may have been deleted, you may not have persmissions to write to it, or there may be another problem. Please choose a different folder.
I select a different folder

Quote:

C:\Users\Bored\Documents\LimeWire\Shared\New Folder
and when I do I still get the same message :(

What can I do ?

Thanks!

Hmm I see what you mean -- the only other fix I can think of is for you to uninstall limewire using the LW uninstall and not the add/remove program -- also delete the limewire/preference folder from the directory :-

Preference File in XP SP2

(you must show all hidden files)
[1] Open windows explorer
select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders.[2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:-
c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire
(or)
c:\documents and settings\username\limewire

NOTE: If you are using VISTA click on this link (how to show hidden files in windows vista) -- also you will find the LimeWire folder here:-
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire

One side effect of this potential fix is that you'll lose ALL your preferences. You'll need to reset them.

Now reinstall Limewire -- let us know how you get on
