| LW requires Java to run. Right-click the LW shortcut on desktop & choose Run as Administrator (this should be done for Vista). Also check compatibility & try changing it to windows xp; see steps 5 & 6 here: Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link)If these suggestions don't help, try this approach: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html For Vista you should right-click installer & choose run as admin before installing. |

| Hello, I tried all what you said : reinstalling Java and Limewire offline after deleting preferences. I used CCleaner to clean registry. It doesn't do nothing, Limewire crashes when opening. I created a new administrator on my computer. I needed to reinstall LW. it works fine for this administrator. Another problem on my PC : I can't defrag for a long time (too much secrets...), I didn't find a solution. Is this the problem ? Thanks Michel |

too much secrets? whatever.... maybe you should just take your HDD out, get a heavy hammer, and destroy it and get a new one and start from scratch...
