Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Sounds like a problem with installation of either LW or Java then. Using the above reinstallation technique of each, which includes cleaning registry & deleting the LW preferences folder should fix the problem.

Oh to delete the LW preferences folder see step 2 & 3 in the first link I gave above.
