Hello,

Whenever I try to update Limewire to the new version, the old version tends to re-intall itself over the new version.

I have even tried uninstalling Limewire and then downloading and installing the new version, but the same thing happens.

For example, I installed ver 5.5 and that lasted about a day, and when I launched Limewire again the next day, ver 5.1 opened up.

How can I stop this from happening?

Firstly try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included 2nd last post of page.)
