Error opening file for writing

I have just got a new laptop and I have tried to download the newest version of LW, and also v4.18 and v4.16 and I get the same error.

I get a pop up box with the following error:

Error opening file for writing:
C:\Program files\limewire\limewire.exe

Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again or Ignor to skip this file.

If I skip, then LW of course will not load.
I downloading using IE.

I have more then enough disk space.
Please HELP !!!!!

Close LW & then check in Task Manager to make sure LW's properly closed. If there's a LW process running - end the process.

The link to install LW will install the latest version... make sure that you have backed up any installers of earlier LW versions that you want to save.

Nope that did not work.

Which windows version are you using?
(1) Try right-clicking installer & Run as Administrator. (2) Install LW to a different location. Perhaps even create a fresh folder within the Programs directory & install within there. (As Birdy suggested, use the offline installer when doing this.)

I tried both of those things and it didn't work. And i'm using Windows XP.
