I just download the limewire program for the 6th time this weekend, and everytime i try to connect it only shows one bar, so i read about it and it said to fix the firewall on my computer and security program so i did and everything read the same as limewire and it has all expections now and everything looked right with the firewall to open the program so i did and everytime i connect it will say when i type in a song that im connecting to the network so i figured it needed time to connect so i left it alone for a while like maybe two hours or more and nothing it still says connecting to the network. i even disabled both firewalls on my computer and when i connected and typed a song in to search it still says connecting to network. i have no idea what to do. I have an emachine computer with windows vista

I am having the exact same problems. I downloaded it yesterday. nothing. cannot search. Message says tryen to connect to network.

LW links are changed at times to match the current problems.

Seems like a lot of people are having the same problem with connecting to LW. So exactly where does the problem lie - within our computer or perhaps a glitch in LW?

Up until about 2 weeks ago I had been using LimeWire for almost a year. then it attempots to connect. It got stuck on "connecting" I like quite a few other have uninstalled, reinstalled, followed all the advice given and still no connection. Nor any closer to solving the problem.

Isn't there anyone who can help?

Was considering upgrading to LW Pro but until I get a connection - forget it.
