To aid helpers in solving download/upload problems, LimeWire and Frostwire users must specify whether they are downloading a torrent file or a file from the Gnutella network. These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. There are specific Gnutella Client sections for LimeWire, Phex, FrostWire, BearShare, Gnucleus, Morpheus, and many more. Please choose the correct section for your problem. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated.  Can't initialize LimeWire: "One or more necessary files appear to be invalid..." Running OSX 10.4.11 Have been using LimeWire version 4.16.6 for about a month with no problems. Yesterday, attempted to open LimeWire and encountered this message: One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing LimeWire again. If the problem persists, please visit Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « and click the "Support" link. Thank you. Additionally, it gives me a crash report. I have pasted it at the end of this message. I have tried removing LimeWire and re-installing. I also tried installing the newer Beta version of LimeWire, but encountered the same issue [which is the version which generated the crash report below]. Otherwise, to reset the themes back to default, go to your Home Library, and remove the themes folder in ~/Library/Preferences/LimeWire/themes/ while LW is shut down. Try again and see if that helps. |
