Hi Trina - please read the sticky threads at the top of page 1 (connection problems)
the answer to your problems should be in here -- if it isn't go
here
and try this (see thread #23)
It's very hard to help you when you don't give us any info on your OS
but you will find all of this in the
sticky threads (they are the ones in
red)
If this doesn't help you try this (
it worked for me 2 days ago)
I don't know what Operating System you are using but this fix works on
windows XP home edition SP2 -- start here
[1] Open windows explorer select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders. [2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:- c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\limewire [3] Ensure that limewire is off - now open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file –
now download a new version from (here) it will be named gnutella.net.net and save it to your desktop [4] Now drag the new gnutella.net.net file from your desktop into the limewire folder. [5] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire – if it still doesn’t connect go back into the limewire folder and rename the new downloaded gnutella.net.net file to gnutella.net. (ensure that LW is off before you do this) [6] Close the LW Folder and start up LW again – hopefully your problem is fixed Please let us know how you get on
