I might call the ISP again as it may still be them. the settings in my Norton were already set to allow LW.

have you tried replacing the gnutella.net file -- sometimes it gets corrupted -- if not try this:- (
you must show all hidden files)
[1] Open windows explorer select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders. [2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:- c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire (or) c:\documents and settings\username\limewire [3] Ensure that limewire is completely off - check the system tray to see that it is not there - if it is click on it and select exit [4] Open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file –
[5] now download a new version from (here) and save it to your desktop[6 Drag the new gnutella.net file into the limewire folder.[5] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire
