When you uninstalled Limewire did you use the LW uninstaller (start - All Programs - Limewire - uninstall) -- if you used the add/remove program this can cause problems.
In
Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- if still no good click on (Fixes for LW when LW isn't operating as it should) let us kinow how you get on
