 To port forward for the v3 (it's not hard, just a bit time consuming!) Step 1. Set up a static IP address. Don't skip this step. http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-98.htm Step 2. Port forward http://www.portforward.com/english/r...5/Limewire.htm Step 3. Within LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Tick 'manual port forward', making sure you add the listening port number. Apply.  |

| Yes there is lots of reading but the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. My promblem was that I could not get my DNS from the prompt. It returned a DHCP server number instead. I tried this number in the setup but it didn't work. (lost connectivity) I guess I'll have to call my ISP tomorrow and find out what it is. I think this will work for my LW problem. If not - I sure learned alot of stuff I didn't know!  I'll let you know if I get it fixed. Bye for now!  |
