what do you mean delete the whole directory?
you mean just the file that says "limewire" or the file that says " incomplete" and "shared" aswell?

Hi adasha lyrai...
You can make your own thread by selecting the appropriate forum for your question and if you look up at the top left hand corner you will see a tab that says New Thread....

Ok, now that's out of the way...
Try deleting the preference folder/s, you may have 1 or even 2 they are called the LimeWire folder and the .limewire folder...
These instructions will show you what to do and what to delete...

LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

Don't delete the shared or incomplete...;)

No, it's only the Preferences folder you delete! Nothing else! Once you re-open LW, it will created a new fresh set of preferences. ;)

No, no need to delete those. And don't delete the LW program. Doing so will cause you major problems getting LW to run again.
*** ONLY DELETE THE LIMEWIRE PREFERENCES FOLDER; Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Vista users also see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html
Edit: I must be getting slow WW. lol
