Well you can double-check your method of port forwarding here: http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

Oh I just remembered (I also use a D-Link but for mac), did you reboot the modem after your port forwarding? This is a must.

Re: Toshiba, well I couldn't find anything specific. Just (a) http://www.cablemodemhelp.com/pcx1000.htm & (b) http://forums.modemhelp.net/viewtopic.php?p=12872

That page went down once before. Ok an alternative. You MUST have LW open at the same time you visit the following test page (else the test won't work) & type in the port no. you want to test (try port 6346): http://home.no.net/tgrumpy/ct/dex.php

reboot you mean just unplug then wait 5sec and replug again?

Lord of the Rings August 7th, 2005 12:41 PM

No, well I suspect your modem softw has the same options. After port forwarding, you need to go to the Tools>Miscellaneous section & you'll see an option for Save & Reboot. It's a soft boot.

On my router it says quote: "Settings need to be saved to Flash and the system needs to be rebooted for changes to take effect." & there's a button there for this purpose.
