Default This is getting redicilious

I am at a point where I just want to rip this LM Pro out of my machine and throw away the money I just paid for it. There is no reason why there should be this much tweeking on the purchaser's part in order to get the program to run. The old version ran without any problem on my XP machine. Maybe it is Vista that is causing the problem but I was told my version is Vista compliant.
I should know better than to purchase from a company that has no telephone tech support, we are all not computer Guru's. Since there is a no refund policy I guess I can just kiss my $25 goodbye.

I totally agree with you...We don't work for limewire, we are just voluteers that know a fix or two to help users get up and running...

That being said and now that I know your a Vista user do this....(as strange as it might sound, it has worked for many)...

Uninstall Limewire and ZoneAlarm...Then re-installl limewire and then ZoneAlarm, in that order...
When you do the re-install of ZoneAlarm make sure to allow Limewire...

Wondering Why, I appreciate your help but nothing seems to work. I just did as you suggested and removed both LW and ZoneAlarmSecurity using the control panel, then reinstalled and rebooted as you suggested.... still shows LW "Limewire has detected a firewall," and is stuck on the first bar of loading....

Limewire need to be uninstalled using the uninstaller which is found...
Start > All Programs > Limewire...

It sounds like your problem may also lay within your modem/router many of them have built in Nat Firewalls, so you will probably need to Port Forward...
If you want to give that ago just let me know the make and model number for your modem/router and I will find your instructions on doing this...

I dont have a router, actually its a 4-port hub. I used to have 3 computers and a video device for the deaf (my daughter is hearing impaired,) but I am currently only using one (1) wire out of the hub, into my computer. Nothing else connected and the hub does NOT have a firewall. Thanks anyway.
This is really frustrating because I had the old LM on my old computer which ran without a hitch. Now I paid for the PRO model and cant get it to run at all. Hope you have a good weekend.
