one block only

I am using windows xp
My firewall is allowing limewire
I know I have lots of space available on my harddisk
I am using DSL
My connection is from home
I am using Sympatico for my ISP
The page I tried says your test worked
Am not sharing with other computers
I have used basic limewire and was having no problem but the last month or so have had problems so decided to download limewire pro and have the same problem.
A box comes up saying Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return results until you are fully connected.
There is only one block green for connection
I have sympatico as a security program and norton by download free.
and I live in Canada.
Can some one help me???????????
