Default LimeWire won't connect - Please help!

LimeWire won't seem to connect for me. I have had this problem before, but disconnecting, waiting 5 minutes, and then reconnecting always worked. It doesn't seem to work anymore. I have tried basically everything but LimeWire still won't connect. I have 1 bar of green and the rest are red on my connection bar. I have provided all the information I can below. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

1. OS version? Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
2. What firewalls you have? Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12, Norton, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Windows Firewall (and I am not able to delete any of them)
3. How much ram? 504 MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 13.3 GB
5. Connection type? Wireless broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Conexant HDA D110 MDC V.92 Modem
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LimeWire 4.16.6, Java 1.6.0_05
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
It says 'Your test worked!' whenever I go there.
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
Yes, the connection is shared, I think, with another computer in the house. No idea what a p2p is at all.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user?
New problem with an experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?
I don't know
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12, Norton, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Windows Firewall (and I am not able to delete any of them)
16. What country are you living in? America

You should only be using 1 firewall & 1 antivirus program -- select the program you wish to use and delete the others -- disable windows firewall (open windows security center) click on windows firewall and select off. -- I cant understand why you cant delete (para 15) these programs as they should all have their own uninstall program -- Have you tried deleting them from the add/remove programs. For Nortons you can go to this link and download (Nortons Removal Tool) Your problem is your ISP -- see this link re yr ISP verizon (ISP's known to block P2p) Also have a look at this link (A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire)

Thanks for the help, LimeWire is working now, but if it ever stops working again, I will definately seek the advice you have given me. The reason I couldn't delete the firewall programs is that it is not my computer. But thanks for the help, it will most likely come in handy one day when LimeWire stops working again, which I am sure will happen!

Many applications have very poorly configured uninstall routines.
Especially Norton - hence the regularly updated Removal Tool.
Problem is that they are not written to deal with files that remain active (in use).

Best to go into safe mode - F8 at Startup - and try to do a proper removal, as mentioned, with...

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Most amusingly, many people find that they cannot even remove Norton in Safe Mode !
Progress, huh ?

Wierd. I've been using Limewire for years, with the same configuration. COMODO Firewall Pro, SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition, and never once have I had to adjust any Windows settings to get Limewire to connect. A few minutes ago, I restarted my computer, and when I start Limewire up, it decides to not connect. So, figuring that most likely it being a Firewall problem, I disabled it, and still had no luck. Not wanting to mess too much stuff up, I decided to do a quick search on google to see if there are already answers for this problem, obviously there is. As soon as I shut Windows Firewall off not only did Limewire connect, but it was a much stronger signal than I usually receive (all bars were green, usually I only get two maybe three). Thanks for your help, even though I didn't have to ask or wait. Take care.
