Use the Add/Remove control panel to remove all versions of Java. Then install the 'OFFLINE' version of java about 15 MB in size; Download Java software from Sun Microsystems; use Crap Cleaner or Windows Cleanup after removing Java too.
Delete your LW preferences folder, found here Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Or Vista, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html
Reinstall LW using 'this' version http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe
You may need to remove your previous LW firewall rule in windows firewall & re-add it, maybe not. |
