Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() OK i have vista home and am the administrator. I think i know what the problem is but know know how to fix it. I made sure it was on my allowed list for my windows firewall and then it said that i had Norton running a firewall and not windows. ![]() |

![]() ok got norton to allow limewire and it still wont work. I have a feeling now that it is my linkysy wireless router. I am on hold with linksys to allow a program but i know more than the damn techs and i dont know much, this is so frustrating. Can comcast set up a firewall and not tell me? ahhh ![]() |

These ports are 6346 (by default) and the 'listening port' shown in the 'firewall config' menu in the limewire settings --- Open Limewire -- go to tools/ options/advanced/Firewall -- look in the "listen on port box" -- easy way to check if it is your router firewall is to disable your router and try and connect to LW -- Is comcast your ISP -- check this out. you will see comcast listed -- they could be the cause of your problems.
