Answered via PM with advice to limit simultaneous downloads & check the other fixes here: If LW 5 Will Not Connect
And requested these details: System details - help us to help you -> Provide these details when you post!!!

Since you're seeing 12 or more hosts per file, sounds like you're downloading torrents. Does the same thing happen if you download a single file (just one download) from the Gnutella network (not a torrent file)?

LW isn't a good torrent client & is banned from some private trackers. Most people here would recommend either uTorrent or Vuze (formerly Azureus)

Red face Limewire pro will not connect or stay connected

The files I am trying to download are not torrent files. They are simple mp3, avi, mp4 files. Since I have had limewire I have always received data from 10 or more p2ps per download even when it was a simple 4 or 5mb file. When I had Limewire basic I did not have this problem nearly as much as I have had since I downloaded Limewire Pro. Before I posted this thread I had viewed the thread on 'If LW 5 will not connect' and went through the steps/instructions given there, but I was unsuccessful in solving the problem. I have again attached a Pdf file which contains the system details for my laptop. I hope you will be able to help me solve this problem because I keep running into a brick wall, make that walls.

Thanks again for your consideration.
