| Limewire seems to take your total bandwidth and then shares 50% so if you are on DSL your total is both up and down and it shares 50% or "all" of your upload... I actually have to throttle this down because I am on ADSL and I am capped at 15Kb/s anyways... so placing my slider at 50% makes it impossible for me to surf or u/l anything.. I leave mine at about 27% and that gives 10Kb/s.... which is better than nothing.... a lot of people out there are on ADSL or a capped cable modem so really that 50% is probably more than they are supposed to have to offer so I wouldn't worry about it... besides... it should be up to the person sharing what the bandwidth usage should be not the person d/l'ing... |
