Smile My files finally sorted!!

Thanks mickjapa108, Dark guy and wondering why.
Norton antivirus had been giving me clean scans so I tried "Spybot search and destroy" and then uploaded AVG free. The first gave me 22 adware warnings and AVG picked up 2 trojans and over 1000 files infected with worms like dllhost exe.
After deleting them and reloading my shared files the problem has been resolved. Makes you wonder why we subscribe to norton dunnit?
Thanks again to all.

I let my Norton go onec it was expired and run AVG free now, it does it's job...I've never had a virus (touch wood)...

Glad you have it all sorted now...

Talking Zipped files

The same thing happended to me and I used AVG and it removed what Norton did not pick up. I did lose my files however. I would like to know can I keep Norton enabled and have AVG running as well?

thanks........

I Have kept Norton running as usual but scan more regularly with AVG as it is quicker and picks more up. Just a pain that you have to download all the corrupt files again!

It's not wise to have two AV's on your computer at once they will clash and end up doing more harm than good...
If you are happy with Norton keep it and maybe once a fortnight disable it and re-download AVG and give it a run...
