Default No search results

I haven't been on Limewire in a while, I upgraded. I'm using the free version. When I try to search - for anything - nothing at all comes up.

Question Computer Illiterate please help! Limeware not working

I've tried all the "fixes" and Limewire loads, but no search results!!! My firewall is fine. No search results no matter what I do! Also, only the one short bar is green, the others are red. Does that mean I have a bad connection? How do I (simplify please) fix this? My Limewire USED to work great!

Your search won't work if you are not fully connected to LW -- In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- Try one fix at a time --- do them in this order:-
Check your firewall, Delete/Replace gnutella.net File, Delete Limewire's Preference Folder -- if still not working go
back to the top and do the rest of the fixes. NOTE: [1] when you replace the gnutella.net file with a new one check the filesize --
The download size from mediafire (gnutella.net) is 25.37kb -- if smaller download another gnutella.net file. [2] The Preference Folder is another name for Limewire Folder.

if after all of this your problem remains click on (system details) fill in and post back here

Try this:- (1) Open your firewall or your antivirus suite (includes a firewall) and find the applications or connections tab where it shows all the programs that have been permitted/accepted by your firewall. Find Limewire hilite it and delete/remove it. Now reboot yr computer -- open/start Limewire and a Popup box from your firewall (nortons, mcafee, whatever) should appear asking if you wish to permit or deny this program -- click permit -- now that should do it --- If this doesn't work --- In Limewire Links (below) click on (system details) fill in and post back here
