![]() OK, I downloaded and re-installed LW on my Linux box. Still 1 green bar, 4 red. No connectivity. I then downloaded and installed the Windows client to a windows system on my network running W2kAE. It installed, configed, and ran like a champ. I had 5 green bars seconds after launch--with no firewall pre-config or port forwarding to the W2k box (this is how I designed my firewall to work--transparently to users on the private network). This leads me to believe that the upgrade of my firewall may have been ancillary to the start of the problem and that the problem is probably on the client system. Will wiping my LimeWire directory completely remove my LW install? I ask this because that's what I did but when I re-installed it still knew my preferences (though I did verify I was running the new version, 4.2.8). Thanks! |
