4% of a song is simply to little. It is a very big chance that the critical resource id information was not transferred. I would not attempt to play songs that was downloaded if less then 30-40% of the song where downloaded. Another thing that you might be doing wrong is to attempt to use the Launch Button from the download section. Instead you should do this:
Click the Library Tab select the Incomplete folder and browse to the file you downloaded and highlight it and then from here inside the Library click the Launch button and see if it will play.
