Thank-you STIEF for your reply. Yes it is 2.9.8 that I downloaded and not 2.9.7 A typo error on my part. As you suggested I thrashed everything that had anything to do with Limewire including the "preferences file"__I think that was the key. I also thrashed the download that I kept in the download folder and downloaded Limewire again from the site. Anyways, I'm now getting results and the currupt file window is a rare occurence. Thanks again!!
