stief has a spectacular aura about

Ooops--don't credit the messenger but also good to see that the OS X crowd does show some appreciation. Hope Apple listens to the forums and mailing lists and quits breaking java.

The real credit for getting word out about the fix goes to et voilą, the Appleforums, and above all "kc8afp" from macrumors who had the message out much earlier.

btw--did anyone have to do the receipt delete in order to install the update?

For the record, Apple has officially noted the use of the security update as a fix http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301380

cheers all--hope the sharing is going well.
