![]() You didn't exactly say that you couldn't even get limewire started, I read you post as saying that you cannot connect to any peers... My Bad... Do this.... Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version.... Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

![]() Try this... Right-click the Limewire icon and go to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version. Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!) If you still have no luck try the preference folder/s again.... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

![]() I tried the windows NT and 2000 thing. Windows just tells me it experienced an error and had to close limewire and is checking for a solution and so on. Hey i dont know how closely you work with the developers but are they working on a fix or a new release of some kind? And brisbane's a nice place I pass through there on occassion. |
