Win2k fix for limewire 1.5

Ok gang,

The fix for windows 2000 is to copy the JAVAW.EXE file to the
/winnt/system folder.

That's all

The setup program is copying the javaw.exe file twice,
once to the /program files/javasoft/jre/1.3.1/bin folder and the
/winnt/system32 folder.

The minute you copy the javaw.exe to the /winnt/system
folder it works fine.

limewire 1.5

Why is it taking so long to download limewire 1.5? Usually when i download something off the internet i get speeds between 4.0 and 5.0 but with this, everytime i try, it's below 3.0. once it was going 1.78 and was going lower. is there a better site that i can try to download it from? any help would be appreciated. thanx.

1.4b

Limewire 1.4b which I'm currently using works so well for me that I am downloading the installer to back up on a CD-R. If something works, why upgrade, especially when there are known problems with the latest version unless you no longer have an older version available and other reasons?

The system tray icon does not do anything. If you minimize the program into the system tray, it cannot be reopened. Win 98.

I will second THAT. I'm sitting here using Sprint Broadband Direct, and I'm downloading at a whopping 1.5 kbs. What's up with this server??

I have Windows ME and all I did was what mentioned below
and Limewire 1.5 worked fine

When you run the shortcut to limewire, and the "Searching for javaw.exe" Window comes up, quickly hit browse, then go to your WINDOWS folder (C:\Windows) and select javaw.exe
