When you run the shortcut to limewire, and the "Searching for javaw.exe" Window comes up, quickly hit browse, then go to your WINDOWS folder (C:\Windows) and select javaw.exe. Now your Limewire 1.5 should work, enjoy :)

After restarting like 5 times still the problem. I have reinstalled 3 times now and still the same. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I am getting the same error message and it's getting very frustrating, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice already, and I wasn't having any problems with Limewire until a few days ago. What is going on!!!! BTW, I am running WindowsME too.

Windows ME

I use Windows ME and I have the exact same problem with the person who posted a couple boxes above.

I get this message

"Limewire has caused an error.Lime wire will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."

It doesn't make a difference restarting or reinstalling. It worked fine in the beginning and then I kept getting this message.

Problems on Windows ME!

I have got the same problems as many people here.

"Limewire has caused an error.Lime wire will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."

But restart doesn't help!

Yesterday morning and afternoon everything worked, but in the evening I got this message.

This is the problem I have with LimeWire 1.4b

In LimeWire 1.5 I have also a problem. The programs starts to run but it gets only outgoing connections and after a while it even closes itself.

Can somebody help me with these problems.

Greets.

I seem to be having the same problem many of you are having. I have 1.4b and it will quit anywhere from 15 minutes to just one minute after starting up (usually more like 1 minute). It seems to only happen when I am in the process of downloading a file. I have windows 95.

You're still using 1.4b when 1.6 is out? I think I know the problem! Download the new version at http://limewire.gnutelliums.com/1.6_beta.
