 birdy, thanks for the response. i looked at the link you gave me and attempted the suggested fix. i deleted the .limewire folder and tried to load up LW. i was prompted to complete the initial LW setup again. i followed through with the new setup but still encountered the same problem. whenever i try to search or download, i get a grey screen and the program eventually becomes "not responding." I'm thinking about uninstalling LW and Java. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which versions of LW and Java I should reinstall according to my system settings (see previous post)? Currently I'm running LW 4.10.3 and Java 1.5.0.06. Thanks.  |
