Did you remove all other Java versions, so that 1.5.0_11 is the only version on your computer?

Did you look for a preferences folder in both the old (C:\Documents and Settings\your username\.limewire) & new (C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\LimeWire) locations? Remember that the App Data folder's hidden by default, so you'll have to show hidden files & folders to see it

When you change compatibility, try both Win 2000 & NT.

I think north450 might've been replying to Sale88 & their concern about losing their songs if they uninstall LW
Just FYI Sale88...if your saved folder is in the default location of C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared then your files are safe if you uninstall LW! To check the location of your saved folder, in LW tools > options > saving & you'll see.
