LimeWire PE (Debian package) appears to not install on latest Linux distros due to an unsatisfiable dependency: sun-java6-jre|icedtea-java7-jre|sun-java6-jdk|icedtea-java7-jdk. I think maybe there's a way to say it need these packages OR LATER.

Kudos in advance to anyone whose smart enough to solve this issue.

Hi guys, anyone else having issues with the AVG plugin not downloading updates? I recently installed LPE on a friends laptop and it did not download the AVG update and any other computer I Have won't as well. It might be possible that AVG shut it down... Please anyone, respond if you know lol.

Am completely new to this and therefore a bit ignorant as to the amount my ISP can find out about what I'm up to ..If anyone could fill me in with some details on that and any other info so that I remain "anonymous" and safe very much appreciated.

It isn't easy to be completely anonymous online, not to mention very expensive. It is however somewhat possible to use servers set up as VPN (virtual private network) as well as encrypting all your traffic between home and said servers. Just know that everything is just anonymous within limits i.e. no matter what precautions you take, if what you are doing ****** off powerful enough people, then you better be some extremely paranoid everything hidden hacker type person.

As for Limewire it doesn't in any way or form fall under anonymous filesharing, so if you live in Corporate controlled countries like e.g. the USA, then you would be wise to at least use some precautions if planning to use Limewire for e.g. downloading new popular music.

i have my limewire pirate edition being run through vpn, is this safe or can the mpaa still record my ip?

I think is has been disabled in the Pirate version.

Actually it was left enabled in this version. The only version that had it disabled was that custom version by that other user on page 1. I know it used to update yesterday but not today.

sam3971 is right but I use links provided by File_girl71 and get the disabled AVG anti-virus limewire version.

when i search in new LPE it does not get results with more than 1 p2p user ?? any1 know why
