Exclamation Go back to version 2.6

Like everyone on the Mac, I got that dumb java error when trying to run 2.7.

I ocassionally program in java and that is a very basic problem. Not finding the MAIN class??? My god that is like JAVA 101. I'm surprised that it passed any kind of testing or QA or that it takes more than 2 seconds to fix. Oh well.

Go back and install 2.6 which works.

Paul

Default hey limedude

doesn't seem that the limewire folks are reading this section of their boards, perhaps you can alert them.

for whatever reason, the version of limewire available from download.com today and limewire's own main download page (2.7 lime basic)

http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/download#free

doesn't work. gets this error when attempting to launch:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code)
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source)
at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java)

-however- THIS version does install and launch correctly:

http://allmacintosh.xs4all.nl/preview/248054.html

this is a .sit, the one with the error is a .bin.

thanks for your help, Limedude, if you can help alert the appropriate authorities.

Paul, We will have to wait till they come out with a fix for this. I also posted about this in the beta forum.
