| An alternative is to use any client that permits you to 'manually' enter a "Connect" address... In other words, you may 'exclude' other 'hosts' and connect directly with a specific IP address of your choosing... There are no limits as far as minimums or maximums... From 2 IPs to as many as you want... A private 'net' within the Gnutella Network... OR out of it... No need to be enabled to connect to the internet... Most p2p clients will be quite happy just talking to other p2p clients... They don't really care WHERE they meet ! This is called 'direct connecting'. (Not to be confused with Direct Connect - DC - 'hub system'...) Doing Direct Connects in Gnutella Network clients is normally easy to do and a very instructive experience. Just don't even think about being crazy enough to do it without some IM / IRC contact... Simultaneous contact !!! ![]() Shouting across the same office room is even better !!!
