Re: "Hello grampy17 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks,".

No use posting again until I ever see a reply to my post of December 3, 2009

I wish there were an option in Limewire whereby users could make corrections to song titles and artist names. There are a lot of songs with simple errors in their titles, songs that are identified as a completely different songs, and songs with incorrect performers' names attached. I recall once being able to contact a host and informed him/her of the errors on some tracks he/she was sharing. He/she responded, "I don't know what they are. I just download and share." Actually, he/she admitted he/she had never even heard of the songs I was talking about. Makes for a lot of wasted time downloading incorrect stuff.

Are you asking for a feature where you could rename files on other people's machines (and they could rename files on your machine)?

Cheers,
Michael

I think I'm asking for the impossible. I know that asking for access to others pc's would be out of the question, but there should be some mechanism whereby corrections can be made, or sharers could be notified of an error. There are countless errors, especially with older music. Even if we could have a central contact whom we could notify and they in turn could advise the song poster of their error. I realize this might be very difficult, because there could be multiple postings of the same error. And I know from experience that a lot of users don't listen to, verify or even know what they are downloading/sharing. But it happens a lot, and it's frustrating to have to download something, find out it is incorrect, delete it, find another copy and redownload. And if more than one sharer has perpetuated the same error, lot of time can be wasted.

What you are asking for is impossible because there is no central system or control for the files you download.

The way things are, with the authorities in most western countries, any central system would be closed down and the administrators, of that system, would be fined and thrown in jail for copyright violations.

Cancel? Simply stop using it !

If you are receiving continual billing then it is NOT from the official site, it would be via a scam site that you accidentally signed up to. Known Scam Sites (click on link)

simple request

I have two separate folders, one folder is where all the files I download from limewire are stored, the second folder is where the files go after they have been reviewed and properly tagged. I like to share all of my music so that it's just a little easier to find some songs that others may not have, however, when I shared my main music folder, my limewire library got filled with thousands of songs and it's mixed in with the one's that I haven't reviewed yet.

I'm simply asking for a way to view separate shared folders within limewire so that I don't have to search through thousands of songs in order to find the one I just downloaded to listen to it and make sure it's not corrupt and has a decent bit-rate associated with it.

Skin changer allow people to choose a skin for limewire

Too late, you can already change skins.

However, as LW no longer officially exist you're going to have a very long wait for any improvements.
