![]() Until hashing becomes a feature of Limewire, the problem with identical files with different names will continue to be a problem. Limewire CANNOT swarm a download when the names are different, however slightly, even if the files are identical. Hashing would take care of that problem. Mac users especially will likely change file names, since Limewire takes a longer PC name, truncates it, and adds on letters and numbers so that there is really no way to know what the file is. Limewire does, however, recongnize Mac aliases, which can be renamed in the shared folder window of Limewire. Last edited by Freiluft; June 27th, 2002 at 06:48 AM. |
