check that your font is in normal font and not large font. To change Font size in Windows XP Home, right click on an empty part of Desktop, choose Properties, Appearance, Font size. Choose Normal.

Hope this fixes yr problem

That fix I gave you (normal font and not large font) was it in large font when you checked it out or was it in normal. it must be in normal font for the complete installation for it to work -- if you havent reinstalled LW in normal font pse do it now and see how you get on -- also check your add/remove program to make sure that you only have 1 version of java -- if more than 1 delete the older version. See this link (Buttons unseen on installation)

what do you mean the java isnt working on your computer -- this is probably why youre having these problems -- Ive only used java downloads from sun microsystems -- did you use the correct java script for your computer.
check this link out by birdy (If LW will not connect) and scroll down to update java and follow the instructions. let us know how you get on pse.

i have the same problem. when i start the setup, at miscellaneous pane the set-up freezes. (cant click on any button and the only way to close it is trough task manager)
i have vista home, i have used the offline installer, updated the latest java, removed all older java versions, the font size has always been set to normal (96dpi)...
but still get the same problem. can somebody help me and advise what to do...
