I want Limewire back | Unfortunatly, between June of 2008 and today, I am running a completly different machine. I never did get LimeWire to run on my old machine, even after over-installing XP Pro which is my current OS. I was able to get LemonWire to run on my old machine which is a LimeWire clone also on the Gnutella P2P network. Google "download Lemonwire" and you'll hit several sites that have LemonWire 5.5.4 available for download, that is the latest version that I have of LemonWire. I now have LimeWire 4.18.8 and LemonWire installed and running, no problems. LemonWire is less of a resource pig (CPU load and RAM used) than LimeWire, and IMO, works almost as good as LimeWire. Give it a try and good luck! |
