Wont Install says cannot create uninstall Info?

I had limewire for ever!!!! well the other day it was messing up so I uninstalled It then went to re download it and it says

Limewire Cannot create uninstall information.
Installation will now exit.

Restarting the computer can often fix this.

I did restart It more than once and no matter what this comes up! I am so sad I love limewire and I want it back please help.

Two options I can think of ...
1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) or if using VISTA see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html (BTW step 3 if you started using LW after LW version 4.10)

If that does not fix it then:

It didnt work... I still have some folders that are the music fles but its not the app itsself... Everything else i deleted.

Which operating system & version are you running? If Vista, right click the installer & choose run as admin. You need to be logged into an admin account to install LW.

There is one other installation option. However I suspect something is wrong with your system. Did you clean the registry as suggested?
'Other' option: Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!

There might be something I forgot to suggest. In any case, those threads will give more specific details & instructions.

I believe it would be best to delete the previous LW preferences folder if you have not already.
