Hi - am new here and hoping to fix my LW :( I have tried the suggestions that I am able to on the other threads about connection problems.

For the last 2 days, I have not managed to get above 1 bar on the connection status. Previous to this, it has been hit and miss whether I have been able to connect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, updated and rolled back my Java - everything :(

Please help

1. Try these options: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

2. If still no good, downgrade to an earlier version of LW, such as either LW 4.16, 4.14 or 4.12 LimeWire - OldVersion.com

Thanks LOTR :D I was orignally on 4.16 and that was where the problem began - I upgraded to 4.18 and it was okay for a few days.

Shall try to roll back to 4.12 and see how I get on :D

Lord of the Rings September 2nd, 2008 05:06 AM

Sure lol worth a try. ;) Else 4.14. You may need to remove & re-add your firewall rule for each version. ;)
