Where can I find the LimeWire Preferences?? Thanks... |

Hi. You have to open Limewire, then at the top of the screen, click on Tools then go down and click on Options. Hope this helps! |

Thanks. Did that and disabled the auto-connect...but still no luck. I keep getting the message that LW is connecting to the network. :-( |

Go to your Start Menu. Click on My Computer. Double click on C drive. Double click on Documents and Settings Double click on the folder with your username Double click on Application Data. Once you're in the Application Data, look for a folder named either .limewire or LimeWire. Delete that whole folder. Close all folders. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...refsfolder.jpg Restart your computer. Start up LimeWire & see whether it will connect. It may ask you a couple of questions to get you started again. If Limewire connects, you're all done & you can go back through Tools and Options to set everything there back to the way you like it. Hope this helps! It worked like a charm for me. Good luck! :rolleyes_2: |
Keep in mind the Application Data folder is a Hidden folder. ;) If it doesn't show up, see Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) But LW MUST be ClOSED at that time. :) |
