Is this not a Firewall problem? There is a Firewall icon at the bottem left. I have disabled my Mcafee Firewall but the icon is still there and I am unable to search

help us to help you -- in limewire links (below) click on (system details) fill in as much as you can and post back here -- In your case quite possibly - some people have the firewall icon all the time and still download without any problems - it's pretty hard to give you an answer when you dont give us all the info we need.

Do I delete everything in the .limewire folder???

I don't see anything that is marked as "preferences" or anything close to to that in the .limewire folder so I don't know what to delete. Can you help? I have not been able to connect to Limewire for 2 days!

no you wont see anything marked as preference folder -- but what they are talking about is the "Limewire" Folder -- just delete the limewire folder --
if your problem remains in Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- if it still remains click on (system details) fill in as much as you can and post back here.

It worked!

It worked! I went in and deleted the .limewire folder and that did the trick! Once I opened Limewire, I had to assign the folders I wanted to share again but that was easy to do. Thanks so much! :)

Where is the "auto-connect" option??

Auto-connect

Hi. I think you have to open Limewire, then go to Tools and Options to get to the auto-connect option. Hope this helps! :)
