Tried this, but no luck. Am using LW 4.12.6 Pro with v 1.6.0_11 of JAVA. Was working fine an now I can't connect at all. Was thinking about upgrading to newer version of LW, but want some reasonable assurances that that would solve my problem.. Don't want to spend another $30 and still have problem.

Yes!!

That idea worked for me, XP user.
Thanks

Welcome raydec. :)

Upgrading Versions Will Not necessarily fix any problem much less a connection issue.
Usually connection issues are contributed to Firewalls, ISP's, Routers/Modums w/NAT.
You say " Tried This " which doesn't tell us anything, since this thread is HUGH. I'll give you a few Links to check out. Connection Problems are the #1 biggest issue here, so if you would elaborate, it might be usefull.

Hello Remoc - thanks for the advice but my problem is with searching. I am connected. Things are downloading. But LW stopped searching for about 24 hours..! LOTR gave me a few tips and then told me to wait it out and see if that worked - which it did. Don't you love those sort of fixes?? *L* Thanks again

I have never had limewire installed. I installed today, & can't connect. Why would I need to do any trouble shooting?!?! Sounds like the program doesn't work. I installed from http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe

HELP! as it searches for HOURS for one song.

Try the fixes in the thread below (start off by replacing the gnutella.net file). If nothing there helps, please post back with your system details.

I am using Windows Vista Business and cannot connect to Limewire at all. I have a firewall but have permitted this program access in my security centre. Can anyone help me out her as it has been running trying to connect for 2 days and still nothing.
